Peace to all , We are so blessed to be alive at this time and I believe that what I do with my daily life affects and changes the world. From the moment we are awake to the moment we sleep, there’s something to do that betters the situation we are in. We are living and heading towards a definite Global Village, what we do here, affect people everywhere.The words that we say and write are very meaningful and powerful. The Mass media gets the message out to millions of people around the world. The power of Skateboarding’s influence on youth around the World is very apparent. Let’s encourage and empower the youth, Let’s allow them to be creative and be themselves. The youth is tomorrow, We are tomorrow, We need to act and show them their role for tomorrow. We all need the freedom to be ourselves and we can be exactly who we are and do whatever we like to do, as long as we respect each other. There’s a lot of talk about freedom now and I think that choosing how to spend our money is the most powerful expression of freedom in a Capitalist Society. Everyone is allowed to spend money but not everyone is allowed to vote.
The Global Village is spending money, and their choices DO affect US. Voting with your dollars is Democracy. One that is Worldwide. So let’s speak to the World, and offer them something exciting!
When you feel hungry, you eat… Do you think about what you eat? Or do you think of food as fast and convenient? We must all understand that it’s so important to eat smart. I will do all that I can to encourage Knowledge and Awareness of Sustainability as I learn it. Let’s look at at our options carefully, let’s understand what is needed to keep our Planet healthy. Those of us who are in an important position of influence, Athletes, Business owners and specially the consumers, are empowered to make a difference. We have several opportunities to redeem ourselves from a bad habit, and if that bad habit is affecting someone else, then it’s our responsibility to find a better solution. Quickly.
Skateboarding has rolled me here and there, and all around the World, to experience this beautiful place, to understand a lot more about my place in this Global Village. The Human Village.
I believe we are all part of a fluidic rhythm, an energy that spirals our Souls into a greater understanding through our own experiences in all aspects of our lives. We either follow the rhythm or we trot a few beats behind, the pace is as broad as the individuals who play in them. Our own existence is Holy in all It’s essence. Skateboarding is an instrument, one that I enjoy playing. Just like my body is an instrument to my Soul. I feel like we are all part of an orchestra and God is the Maestro. We play within the beat or we’re assigned a different group that plays like us and we learn to advance. We will progress. The question is, how long will it take us? I say let’s start NOW! Let’s make those decisions every day, based on how it will affect us. It’s our responsibility to each other. I have really learned the importance of thinking about the future since my daughter Lotus was born. She is going to grow older and I’m going to have to answer her question one day: “ Daddy, what have you done to help secure the future of healthy Planet? I will be able to look her in the eyes and say to her that I did what I could. Now it’s your turn. We can only do what we can, but guess what? We can do so much!
There’s so much more I want to accomplish and I feel I still need to earn a lot of the adjectives that are added to my name. I am also very thankful for everything I’ve accomplished and I appreciate all the respect out there. I really feel honored to have so many people that are into what I do on and off my skateboard. I hope that we might be able to help each other in some way. I will continue to create, inspire and be inspired by the possibilities. The Human possibilities are endless. Let’s learn to Dance with each other.In a rhythm inspired by solutions and in a tempo that is focused and up-beat, it’s time for Action.
